Phong Nha – an ideal destination for leisure and healing tourism
The online travel platform Agoda has just announced a list of standout nature-connected resort destinations in Asia. Among them, Phong Nha (Quang Tri province) is rated as an ideal destination to immerse in nature, heal, and rejuvenate energy.

According to Agoda, 2026 will witness a strong increase in trends of nature-based tourism, healing tourism, and wellness travel. In the context of an increasingly busy modern life, many travelers seek destinations with peaceful spaces, pristine landscapes, and experiences that help restore balance and rejuvenate energy.

Mr. Andrew Smith, Senior Vice President in charge of Agoda’s partner network development, said: “Destinations rich in natural resources are offering many unique experiences, meeting the growing trend of wellness tourism and nature- and eco-tourism.”
Featured on this list, Phong Nha stands out with its massive limestone mountain system, vast primeval forests, and magnificent cave network located in Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park – a UNESCO-recognized World Natural Heritage site. This is one of the areas with exceptional biodiversity and geological value in the Asian region. In particular, this place is the ‘gateway’ to Son Doong – the largest natural cave in the world, considered one of the most unique natural wonders on the planet.

Phong Nha offers unique exploration activities for nature enthusiasts and adventure lovers. From cave conquering journeys, jungle trekking to eco-tourism activities, this destination brings together all the elements to become an ideal retreat and experience for those who want to temporarily escape the urban pace and reconnect with nature.
