Lai Chau ready for the 2025 Tourism – Culture Week and Marathon

From November 28 to 30, 2025, the People’s Committee of Lai Chau Province will organize the 2nd Lai Chau Tourism – Culture Week and Marathon with the theme “Returning to the Majestic Peaks of Lai Chau.” The event aims to promote the image, potential, and tourism strengths of the locality while expanding cooperative links with provinces and cities domestically and internationally.

Accordingly, the 2025 Lai Chau Tourism – Culture Week and Marathon includes a variety of activities, taking place at the Lai Chau Provincial People’s Square, the Provincial Cultural Conference Center, and several central city areas.

On November 28, the opening ceremony will be held from 8:00 PM to 9:30 PM at the People’s Square, marking the start of the province’s large-scale tourism, culture, and sports events.

On November 29, the award ceremony for the Lai Chau tourism photo and video contest will take place at the Provincial Cultural Conference Center. In the evening of the same day, a Vietnam-China cultural exchange program combined with traditional costume performances of Lai Chau ethnic groups will be held at the People’s Square, contributing to the promotion of cultural beauty and the enhancement of friendly exchanges.

On November 30, the 2nd Lai Chau Marathon will be held from 5:00 AM to 11:00 AM, expected to attract a large number of professional and amateur athletes. The closing event will take place at 3:00 PM at the Provincial Cultural Conference Center.

Notably, the Lai Chau Ethnic Cultural Space, covering an area of 500m², showcases the culture of 13 ethnic groups residing in the province. The tea, ginseng, and orchid exhibition space, spanning 400 m², is organized by the Lai Chau Ginseng Association. Here, a beautiful tourism photo exhibition featuring 100 – 200 works is also held for visitors. In addition, the ethnic food and street food area, with a total of 30 stalls, will present traditional and unique dishes, creating a rich experiential space for locals and tourists.
